HOTEL BOAT HOLIDAYS

If you want to explore the inland waterways in complete comfort and do very little this is the holiday for you!

Just like a hotel, the boat has all the comforts, service and full-board accommodation and they usually start at a site that is easily accessible by public transport so everything is easy.

Rooms can vary from single cabins to doubles or twins and most rooms come with en suites.  You can chill out in the lounge area, have a few drinks at the bar, enjoy a feast in the dining room, or just watch the world go by in the outdoor seating areas - there’s something for everyone.

Choosing a holiday company often seems to be more about luck than science, but help is at hand! The English Tourist Board have introduced the Boat Grading Scheme - companies that have joined the scheme have all of their boats inspected by the Tourist Board every year and given a grade on a scale of 1-5. When you choose a holiday operator, make sure that they are members of this scheme.
