They will typically be between 14 and 21 ft, have two sails and room to store picnics and day sailing essentials. Most will be built of GRP which is easy to maintain. You can store them in yacht clubs or trail them home to garden or garage.

New or second hand Rigid Inflatable Boat

This type of boat was originally used as a rescue boat. But they have really grown in popularity for use as pleasure boats. They are day boats with a solid hull and inflatable tubes around the hull. In this price range you will buy around a 3-5m boat with an outboard engine.

They will be typically be around 17 – 21 ft long, with either an outboard or small inboard engine. They would suitable for a small family or a couple looking to take day trips or weekends on the river. Many have simple cooking facilities and offer a small cabin for shelter and overnighting.
