Second hand family Sailing Dinghy

In this price range you can pick up a selection of larger
sailing dinghies suitable for sailing with friends and family. They
will typically be between 14 and 21 ft, have two sails and room to
store picnics and day sailing essentials. Most will be built of GRP
which is easy to maintain. You can store them in yacht clubs or
trail them home to garden or garage.
New or second hand Rigid Inflatable Boat

This type of boat was originally used as a rescue boat. But they
have really grown in popularity for use as pleasure boats. They are
day boats with a solid hull and inflatable tubes around the hull.
This makes them stable, but nippy. They are an easy way to access
some great places on the water. Price depends on the length and the
engine you choose. In this price range you will buy around a 3-5m
boat with an outboard engine.
New racing Sailing Dinghy

If you’ve tried dinghy sailing and want to get competitive you
should be able to kit yourself out with a decent racer sailing
dinghy in this price range. It pays to shop around and to be really
competitive you might have to go for last year’s model in this
price range.
Second hand Motor Cruiser

If you are thinking about cruising on rivers and in sheltered
waters then you should be able to find a second hand river cruiser
for around £3000 - £5000. They will be typically be around 17
– 21 ft long, with either an outboard or small inboard engine. They
would suitable for a small family or a couple looking to take day
trips or weekends on the river. Many have simple cooking facilities
and offer a small cabin for shelter and overnighting.
Second hand Power / Ski Boat

If you want to get on the water for sheer fun and a spot of
water sports then a second hand sports or power boat could be for
you. A typical boat would have enough room for a couple and their
friends to enjoy the ride with room for water skis or a wakeboard.
Price depends on the age and condition of the boat and the size of
the engine. Those looking for speed might have to spend a bit
more.
