On the Water is a website run by the British Marine
Federation
The British Marine Federation (BMF) is the trade
association for the leisure marine industry and represents 1,500
marine businesses including boatbuilders, sea schools, holiday
operators, clothing and equipment manufacturers, marina operators
and service providers. All BMF members adhere to a Code of
Practice giving you assurance that they are carrying out business
in accordance with best practice and legal standards.
With over 1,500 members across UK regions and
sectors, BMF members are passionate about boating and can
provide you with expert advice, and high quality products
and services. The Leisure
Boat Builders Association (LBBA) has members as diverse as
Princess &
Sunseeker, manufacturers of motor yachts, to
Oyster Yachts,
Rib-x and
Southerly and Rib manufacturers. If you are looking to buy
a boat, members of the
Boat Retailers & Brokers Association can you with provide
great info on how to purchase a boat. You will also need equipment
and clothing to get out on the water, members of the
Marine Trades Association (MTA) are on hand to advise you. If
you need want to get some training or book a holiday then
the Marine
Leisure Association (MLA) is your first port of call,
including many training and holiday providers such as Neilson and
Sunsail.
The British Marine Federation (BMF)
