Partners
On The Water is looking to recruit new partners to
support this exciting campaign to get more people involved in
boating and watersports as part of a healthy lifestyle.
In the Olympic year, this unique opportunity is
particulalrly relevant with Sailing, Kayaking and Rowing
representing some of Team GB's best chances of gold medal
success.
What's on Offer?

Background
Launched in 2010, On The Water is a five-year project, from
the British Marine Federation, that aims to encourage more people
to enjoy the benefits of boating and watersports.
The British Marine
Federation represents over 1,400 companies from boatbuilders,
to holiday companies, to equipment manufacturers and training
centres – our members are experts in the coastal and inland sectors
of the marine industry. Regular participation across a range of
boating activities from Kayaking to Sailing to Inland boating, aim
to breakdown the barriers to entry.
Research shows that the biggest barriers for
new boaters are a lack of information about entry routes into
boating and a perception that it is an elitist sport. On The
Water seeks to address this trend by giving people practical advice
on how to take the first steps into boating, providing them with
ideas on how to get started, and advice on boat purchases and
holidays. The response to the project so far has been
very positive.
