Sunbury Amateur Regatta

Sunbury Regatta logo

Since 1877, Sunbury Regatta has not only been a serious skiffing race event for local clubs but it has also been an annual calendar event for Surrey and the local community, supporting the development of skills and enjoyment of the River Thames.

Thousands of families attend to watch 60 club skiffing and punting races as well as 40 local events such as 'Row for your local' and Dongola racing in fancy dress.

Sunbury Regatta

    • Family fun and events all day
    • Food stalls from around the world
    • Bar tents
    • Live music
    • Face painting
    • Tug-o-war
    • Fireworks at dusk
    • Skiffing and punting races
    • Local events including 'Row for your local'
    • Dongola racing in fancy dress

Please feel free to bring a picnic and soft drinks with you to the event but we're afraid that local authority and licensing restrictions mean that alcohol may not be brought onto the island during the Sunbury Amateur Regatta. Only alcohol purchased at one of the Regatta's Bars may be consumed on the island.

Please note that parking around the Regatta site is very limited, so we recommend using public transport wherever possible.
